About the CVC Circuit Rider Project
Update - September 2008 Please ring the Central ICT Telephone Helpdesk - 01437 771197 - for help or if you are a new group who wishes to register an interest in future services. Please see below to read about the service provided between Nov 2006 -June 2008 In 2006, Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services (PAVS) took the lead in a County Voluntary Council Regional Partnership (Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Merthyr Tydfil) to deliver a mobile ICT support and development service to the voluntary sector in West Wales and Merthyr Tydfil, initially in Communities First wards. The mobile ICT Development workers called ‘Circuit Riders’ are delivering direct ICT Technical Support and Development to voluntary and community organisations, as well as running the highly successful ‘123-communicate ’ service - workshops on group website development and all things to do with the internet. How it Works…The Circuit Rider will visit your organisation and go through a simple Project Application process with you. They will talk to you about your current and future ICT needs (ICT Review) and help you to plan for now and for the future. The team also run a programme of activities called ‘123-communicate ’ which can involve anything from getting onto the internet to creating a simple group website or video. We provide a dedicated ICT Telephone Helpdesk 01437 771197 for any computer related queries you may have. We work in a friendly, informal way and can tailor activities to your needs! The team are also responsible for the creation of this ICT Support and Information Resource and acts as a focus for ICT in the voluntary sector in Wales. Cross County Help
Each County Voluntary Council has one or more Circuit Riders working out of the local County Voluntary Council and centrally managed from Pembrokeshire which is also the home of the ICT Helpdesk and this ICT Information and Support Resource. More information about your county |
